Summary and Key responsibilities:
As the Product Manager for Customer Experience for Trading & Shipping, you will lead a team that is building a digital engagement platform for our global trading businesses for our external customers, as well as an insights and opportunity management tool to help us understand our customer internally. Based in the UK, you will work with a multi-national & vendor team to deliver a step change in our business operating model. We are looking for a passionate, curious, do-er who can communicate a clear vision and path towards our vision

Identify opportunities that are not readily apparent and build the case for executing on those opportunities.

Business focused

Drive project-based strategic initiatives end-to-end from problem definition and project scoping to delivery of recommendations
Track record of clear results orientation. Displays an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals and able to drive and execute an agenda while navigating ambiguity and evolving needs
Guide and perform analyses related to industry, competitor, and technology dynamics and trends (e.g., market sizing, competitive landscape mapping, customer segmentation) that inform the company’s product strategy
Lead the development of recommendations and the strategy for growth (in the core and new business areas), including where to compete and how to win (e.g., competitive advantage and go-to-market)
Guide financial analyses that help in the evaluation of strategic options, including financial outlook, NPV, and scenario/sensitivity analysis Skilled in business awareness and able to coach and guide business modelling, critical thinking, analytical models to forecast and track performance, and directional road mapping
Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting, risk management or product experience is preferred
Familiarity with LEAN Product development and deliverables - business model canvases, lean product canvases
Excellent fundamentals in business analytics and data platform design
Strong business-focused problem-solving skills
Excellent strategic thinking skills. Experience in the energy industry is a plus

Technology driven

Be able to demonstrate technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members
Salesforce experience a strong preference
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial modelling software
Strong knowledge and a keen interest in emerging tools and technologies

Transformational Leadership

A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics.
Able to demonstrate conceptual thinking skills which must be complimented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytical marketing and risk management
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders within the organization, including management, sales teams, and other relevant departments
Build strong working relationships with sales, development, and support teams, to gain deep understanding of the company’s products and users.
Prepare proposals and effectively communicate ideas to enter new markets or new customer segments to the leadership team, and gain approval for investing in these ideas
Communicate findings/recommendations with management and support business collaboration discussions with key stakeholders
Partner with other departments and disciplines and help support the annual strategic planning process and execution/implementation plans
Influence a broad set of senior executives across the enterprise and your organization who are stakeholders or delivery partners
Demonstrable experience to effectively network and influence across organizations, and to create alignment across multiple teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to a diverse audience including tech and non-tech teammates
