Equans is recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Apprentice to be based around Reading, RG2 0TF. This is a full time, 4 year apprenticeship working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
You’ll undertake an apprenticeship as an Electrical Engineer leading to a nationally recognised NVQ qualification and accreditation over a 4 year period. This will also include attendance at college on day release and evening class basis.
What will you learn?
Gain experience in the application and use of a wide range of tools including measurement meters, thermostatic and infra-red.
Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking out.
Measurement and inspection techniques using a variety of meters equipment.
Develop knowledge in basic electrical testing.
In addition, there will be training within Eqauans on mechanical, refrigeration and gas safe works to provide you with a broad scope of knowledge.

Who are we looking for?
A minimum of 4 GSCE’s or equivalent, at Grade A* to C including English, Maths and a science related subject.
A demonstrable interest in electrical engineering through school or hobby interests.
You’ll be IT literate and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel or equivalent software.
Highly motivated
Aptitude for practical science or engineering skills
The ability to work as a team member and possess good interpersonal, communication and literacy skills.
You can work with efficiency, accuracy and able to meet deadlines.
Able to prioritise workload and under own initiative.
This role includes a DBS Basic Check therefore ability to pass is essential
