Job Description

Gyoza Gyoza is a Japanese Street Food business that has been serving delicious gyoza across the Midlands and beyond since 2018. We pop-up and events and festivals, primarily in the Shropshire and the West Midlands but occasionally travel further afield.

We have a busy 2023 season ahead and we're looking for an outgoing, hard-working and organised person to lead our business and brand, taking it to the next level. Alongside our dedicated team of 'Gyoza Slingers', you'll be the face of the business, interacting with event organisers and the general public at all events.

This is an incredible opportunity if you love food, people and relish the ability to have autonomy and flexibility over how you work.

General responsibilities will include;

  • Food preparation (full training given).
  • Driving to events in our company van.
  • Setting up our stall prior to events and closing down at the end.
  • Taking orders, cooking and serving food.
  • Post event and weekly clean downs.
  • Managing the events diary.

Your general working pattern will be Thurs-Mon however this is flexible and dependant on the events calendar. Event days can be long but lots of fun with plenty of time to reset post-event. Free food is provided throughout the working day.

Food safety is critical in or industry so full training will be provided enabling you to gain a City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Food Safety.

Successful candidate must hold a Full UK Manual Driving License and be willing and able to drive a van (Ford Transit Custom or equivalent). Due to the location of our business facilities, the successful applicant must live in the close vicinity of Shrewsbury.
