Hours a Week: 35
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday. Rota working times. Will be working 7 hours between the times of 08:00-18:00. (1 Hour Lunch Break)
Purpose of Position:
The Receptionist is the link between the clinical team and our amazing clients and patients. Because of this, in this role, you are expected to run the reception desk with organisation, compassion and maturity.
Duties/Responsibilities will include:
· Keeping front of house, dispensary and consult room’s clean and tidy at all times.
· Ensuring all consult rooms are suitably stocked.
· Answer telephone calls and deal with nature of call accordingly.
· Handling client queries in correct manner.
· Ensuring good communication between front desk and clinical team
· Complete any necessary paperwork, including consent forms, etc.
· Managing float, taking payments and completing Day Book.
· Various administration duties include:
o Direct Claim Set ups
o Scanning paperwork to file
o Emailing Client Practices case reports/histories
o End of Day banking
o Monitoring reception mailbox
· Adhering to strict GDPR policies.
· Ensuring smooth hand over to the next team
· Supporting clinical where necessary.
· Other duties as and when necessary. At quiet times, please offer assistance wherever needed

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate strong administration, organisational and customer service skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Valley Vets, based in South Wales has four branches. Ystrad Mynach, Cardiff, Pentrych and Caerphilly. We also have our state of the art Veterinary Hospital in Gwaelod Y Garth, Cardiff.
