Our Employment Law team has also been recognised as a Tier 2 firm within The Legal 500. The Head of the team is Kate Brooks who has been described as ‘outstanding in her ability to empathise and enable the employer to deal with difficult situations correctly.’ The Employment law team acts for both employers and employees providing day to day HR advice, assisting clients with settlement negotiations, and advising on Employment Tribunal claims.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial/administrative support to the teams to include compliance, setting up files, closing files, and raising invoices;
  • Assisting in drafting, amending, and updating documents. The majority of lawyers in the team do not dictate work, however there may be a small amount of audio typing;
  • Excellent communication with over the phone, by email, and letter;
  • Diary management and arranging appointments for the lawyers in the teams;
  • Conducting legal research as required; and
  • Maintaining and building upon existing client relationships.
