Customer Development Executive - Unilever Ice Cream

Territory Covers: Swansea, Cardiff, Newport & surrounding areas

Permanent, Full-time

Salary upto £29k with potential 10% annual performance bonus plus company car & fuel card.

We help brands sell more. Operating in multiple sectors, we specialise in three core industries; financial services, grocery and technology.

Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you’ll be helping global brands - such as, Unilever, Britvic, PepsiCo, Kerry Foods and Microsoft – deliver their key sales and marketing strategies. You’ll find yourself part of a friendly and supportive team and will always have the opportunity to take ownership of tasks and demonstrate your ideas and initiative.

What you will be doing?

As a Customer Development Executive, you will be responsible for opening up opportunities and growing sales of Unilever Ice Cream (specifically, the Wall’s, Carte D’or and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream brands) and Unilever Food Solutions products (e.g. Hellmann's Mayonnaise & Colman's Mustard) within a range of locations, including (but not limited to): leisure centres/swimming pools; cafes/kiosks in the park; soft plays; big visitor attractions such as zoos/museums; corner shops & independent convenience stores; and hotels, restaurants & cafes.

As part of this role, you will work with a portfolio of existing customers. However, you will also be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities (this will involve cold calling), negotiating contracts and joint business plans.

You will regularly review performance of ice cream & food solutions products within the sites that you have opened up and work closely with the on-site decision makers to increase sales.

You will also develop and maintain commercial relationships with Head Office (Unilever) contacts, agreeing ranging and visibility solutions and then clearly communicate these execution requirements to individual customer sites.

What’s in it for you?

We recognise that people are the key to our success. That’s why we make sure everyone at McCurrach enjoys continuous support, career development opportunities and great perks, including:

  • Salary up to £29K plus potential bonus of 10% and lunch allowance (£63.58 per month)
  • We champion equality & inclusivity and are passionate about creating a workplace that promotes and values diversity.
  • On top of your 23 days holiday per annum + bank holidays you can purchase additional annual leave of up to 5 extra days per year
  • Life Assurance
  • Enhanced sick pay
  • Access to discounted Private Healthcare

  • Family-friendly working policies (such as enhanced maternity & paternity pay)
  • Access to our fantastic Employee 'Perks' portal (discounts from a wide range of retailers, gym memberships, leisure activities plus much more!)

  • Strong organisational and diary management skills, as you will be operating fairly independently
  • Experience of cold calling
  • Drive to identify and bring in new business opportunities
  • Account management experience: the ability to build and maintain strong client and customer relationships is essential
