Location: West/ East Midlands Based
Work from Staffordshire down to Oxford/ Milton Keynes.
We are working on behalf of one our top clients who is keen to strengthen their commercial team department as they have obtained a lot of successful work wins.
The client has grown to become a highly established main/ principal contractor that provide a range of fully integrated services. They turnover in excess £700 million per year.
They are looking to take someone onboard within their HS2 division.
Key responsibilities/ Duties of a Commercial Manager role:
You will be able to achieve or exceed budgeted targets.
Completing monthly reports, to make sure they accurately reflect current position on-site and final profit projection.
Price and agree on all contract variations, in a timely manner.
Achieve timely final account agreement on client and supply chain accounts, whilst maintaining strong working relationships.
Manage and lead trainee/junior surveyors.
Ensuring you comply with the company's policies and procedures.
Skills/Experience required:
Need to be able to deliver a wide range of projects that exceed clients' expectations.
Experience in successfully putting together plans/projects on time and within budget.
Plan and manage budgets and resources effectively.
Have experience in successfully managing performance and providing constructive feedback.
Good knowledge of the current building legislations.
Demonstrates a good understanding of the political structure and role of elected members.
Ability to work collaboratively both with own service and across other services.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar technical qualification.
Working towards professional qualification status.
NEC & Cost Management.
HS2 experience.
