As OCU Group continues to grow and develop, a vacancy for a Commercial Assistant has arisen in our South Wales region. The purpose of the role is to assist with the daily running of all commercial aspects of the business.
We are looking for an experienced, competent commercial assistant. You will be working autonomously, whilst still working closely with the Operations Manager and Commercial Manager to oversee and execute several commercial functions.
Overtime we would foresee this role developing into a full Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor position, with the required mentoring, support, and training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ability to manage and effectively monitor sub-contractors.
· Subcontractor payment review and approval.
· Dispute resolution as required.
· Weekly/ Bi-Weekly site measures & site liaison for records of events.
· Have excellent communication – both oral written, numeric and computer skills.
· Keeping all commercial registers up to date.
· Weekly tracking of sales per site team.
· Setup of back-office systems in a fit for purpose strategy.
· Ongoing review of data provided from site teams and other commercial sources.
· Review of existing record keeping tracking and recording processes and make changes as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
· Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence.
· Educated to Degree level, or equivalent experience.
· Experience within a similar role & previous subcontractor management experience.
· Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Excel.
· Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally.
· Must be an excellent organiser with proven time management skills.
· Must be flexible in hours of work and travel.
