Summary:


The Central Cluster is offering a Marketing Internship opportunity with the aim of developing defined hotel marketing skills and strategies in line with business plans and operating procedures. The role will report into and support the Cluster Marketing Manager. A list of hotels associated with this Marketing Internship can be found at the bottom of this overview.


This internship provides the successful candidate with a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to Marriott International’s marketing ecosystem. The Marketing Intern will be expected to be a strong team player across hotel disciplines and within the wider UK, Ireland & Nordics Marketing community.


Overview of primary tasks of Marketing Internship:


  • Support the visibility and communication of the Marriott Bonvoy programme at all guest-facing touchpoints through the customer journey

  • Responsible for the local activation and pull through of all centrally developed marketing initiatives for meetings and events, fitness, and food and beverage at a local property level including implementing digital and physical activation items

  • Partner with Marketing leader and other key stakeholders on producing new and updating existing hotel printed and digital assets and presentations, responsible for providing on and above property sales teams with all customer-facing assets and providing marketing support for sales driving initiatives

  • Responsible for activating social media channels using Marriott’s Social Media Monitoring and Management partner, Sprinklr. This will include the creation of content calendars, organic and paid social media activation, reporting and analysis.

  • Support the Marketing Leader in ensuring that all Marketing activity is communicated to key stakeholders on property
  • Responsible for providing hotel content (messaging, creating, rich media) to internal and external partners with a focus on ensuring relevance for audience and meeting deadlines
  • Support with property photo shoots (architectural, lifestyle, food & beverage), including providing brand photographic guidelines, liaise with brand approved photographers, provide sample photography and guidance on use of photography playbook, and photography audits

  • Excellent command of the English language - both written & spoken
  • A natural ability with social media, especially Facebook, LinkedIn Instagram
  • Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
