Global Operations at unybrands develops and maintains our logistics network from end to end by managing external stakeholders in support of our individual brands. This team plays an integral part in creating the infrastructure globally to provide a best-in-class experience for our customers and cross functional teams. By managing the flow of goods and services from the supplier to the customer, the Global Operations team helps to ensure that the business can meet customer demand, maintain high-quality standards, and keep costs under control.

Being a part of this team means you can see the forest from the trees while still focusing on the details. This team acts as the centralized end-to-end support system for multiple categories and brands within our portfolio. This team is deeply involved with liaising with our external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence across our suppliers, transportation and warehousing partners.

We are looking for individuals with a bias for action that can manage complex supply chain networks across multiple markets and revenue streams. Successful individuals in this role have the skills and experience that enable them to develop and execute supply chain strategies that support the organization's business goals while maintaining high level of performance, quality, and cost control.

About the role:

  • Carrier selection: The transportation team is responsible for selecting carriers to move products from suppliers to fulfilment centers. They must evaluate carrier pricing, reliability, and track record to select the best carriers for the job.
  • Freight management: The transportation team is responsible for managing the movement of freight to ensure that products are delivered on time and at the lowest cost. This includes planning and coordinating shipments, managing carrier schedules, and tracking shipments to ensure they arrive on time.
  • Route optimization: The transportation team is responsible for optimizing routes to reduce transportation costs, minimize delivery time, and increase efficiency. They must evaluate different shipping options and work with carriers to develop the most efficient shipping routes.
  • Compliance: The transportation team is responsible for ensuring that all shipping and transportation regulations are followed. This includes ensuring that carriers are properly licensed and insured, and that all shipments meet regulatory requirements.
  • Cost management: The transportation team is responsible for managing transportation costs to ensure that they are within budget. They must analyze transportation data and make recommendations for reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
  • Customer service: The transportation team is responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders. This includes responding to inquiries, providing order updates, and resolving any issues or concerns that arise.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a logistics manager or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment
  • Ability to develop, articulate, and execute strategy
  • Ability to pivot priorities as corporate strategy and data-led insights evolve
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic organization
