Job Description
You will support the School of Biosciences in its delivery of Undergraduate practical programmes, working collaboratively with staff to support delivery of the practical classes. This will include the provision of supplies and equipment to practical classes as well as delivering demonstrations of practical experiments to students. You will be contributing to the team that deliver the day-to-day running of the laboratories, including maintaining stock and equipment, ensuring good practice and health and safety compliance.
Applicants must have experience of supporting laboratory teaching at BSc level or training others in a laboratory environment. Flexibility and excellent team-working skills are also essential for this post, as working collaboratively and flexibly, including working across and supporting different teams and departments is expected.
You should have 5 GCSEs A*-C/ 4+ including English, Maths, Science and ICT, or a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
