Are you an experienced Site Manager looking for your next freelance opportunity? Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Manager to join our team. With a start date of May 29th and a duration of 5 months, this position offers a chance to work on a prestigious project involving 1.4m chemical tanks and a range of heavy civils works.

  • Standard working hours: With a schedule of 45-50 hours per week, you’ll have a consistent workload to manage.
  • Health and safety focus: Your welfare is our priority, and we expect you to hold valid CSCS and SMSTS certifications to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the construction project, ensuring it meets high-quality standards and stays on schedule.
  • Managing the heavy civils works, including concrete frame, ducting, and drainage.
  • Coordinating and supervising the site team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all necessary health and safety regulations, including the completion of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and permits.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Monitoring progress, managing any potential issues, and providing regular updates to the project management team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in heavy civil engineering projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of managing heavy civils works, such as concrete frame, ducting, and drainage.
  • Valid CSCS and SMSTS certifications.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and subcontractors.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
