Job Description

The Queens Hotel Paignton is a 3* hotel located on a flat level position just 200 yards from the town centre and sea front. With its cosy and comfortable interior, fine restaurant, lounge and heated indoor swimming pool, the Queens hotel remains a popular holiday location amongst new and returning guests. We have a fabulously close-knit team who love to work together and are well known for being one of the friendliest teams to work with in the local area.


Location: The Queens Hotel, Queens Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ4 6AT

Salary: £10.00 per hour

Your Role:

  • To welcome & greet each guest as they enter.

  • To ensure each guest is served with in a timely manner.

  • To ensure food and drinks ordered are delivered in a timely manner.

  • To maintain the high standards of cleanliness.

  • To provide and promote a welcoming, friendly, personal and professional service.

  • To ensure all guest expectations are reached and always exceeded.

  • Open and close areas following correct procedure forms.

  • To always promote the restaurant / bar and the hotel standards

  • To gain guest feedback for the restaurant / bar and the hotel and feed back to your manager

  • To assist guests enter the restaurant, carrying their drinks where possible.

  • To monitor the quality of food offered

  • To control the security of the hotel and Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence.

  • Support your colleagues and assist coaching new starters through their probation periods.

  • Maintain and striving to improve standards of service.

  • Maintaining a fast and effective service

  • Monitoring and keeping a close relationship with the kitchen to ensure guests receive their food in timely manner.

  • To be able to professionally take a Food & Drinks order from guests
