We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Construction team based in Kent. Within this role, you can enjoy working on exciting large projects, progression opportunities, support in obtaining further qualifications and even more.

Location: Kent

Contract: Full time, permanent

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within the Construction team, supporting them in managing the commercial resources of projects to maximise cashflow and margin.

Your day to day will include:

  • Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks while implementing Kier Groups policies for risk management

  • Production of commercial reports together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members

  • Managing sub-contractors including sending out enquiries, collating prices, comparing with tender, negotiation, order placement, agreement of account and payment


Who are we looking for?

Working on projects valued at £25m and up, we are looking for like for like industry experience.

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You have proven experience in managing the commercials over the full project lifecycle

  • You are experienced in both JCT & NEC forms of contract

  • You have a degree, or equivalent experience, with proven experience in a similar role.
