What you'll do
Platform Design and Delivery
- We design and build TV’s that push technology and experience boundaries across all our display products. You will work on our products from concept to delivery. Ensuring every signal and component within the picture quality pipeline is well designed and implemented to provide outstanding performance to our viewers.
Ongoing Improvement
- As well as delivering new hardware platforms and big new features within key projects you will identify and implement iterative PQ improvements through detailed analysis, tool development and PQ tuning methods in advanced, hands-on, development lab environments utilising agile software delivery methods.
Collaboration
- The Display Engineering team collaborate across multi-disciplinary and cross-territory organisations. Including, but not limited to, R+D, Hardware and Software Engineering, Project Delivery, Materials, Supply Chain and with a variety of Content and Broadcast Engineering teams across Sky, Comcast and NBCU as well as our 3rd Party providers to ensure an industry best picture quality and viewing experience on Sky Glass Television platforms.
What you'll bring
- Proven Experience within a relevant Engineering field working with multi-disciplined, technical teams, with a track record of delivering large, innovative and complex programmes and projects.
- Exceptional inter-personal and relationship-building skills, culturally fluent and able to engage with people from a range of backgrounds.
- The ability to deliver on high visibility projects within small, focussed, highly motivated and technically skilled teams.
- A self-starter who can drive through change at all levels, and be the “go-to” person for solving technical, logistical and organisational challenges.
- Knowledge of global video standards including PAL, NTSC, REC.709, BT.2020. BT.2100 etc. Experience in glass to glass video and audio production and distribution methods and workflows is desireable.
- Experience in advanced content treatment, transcode and delivery to and from OTT platforms. Experienced in using and automating subjective quality assessment tools, such as VMAF, SIMWAVE, Aurora is desireable.
- Knowledge of Access services and supporting video features, including an in depth knowledge of subtitles, audio description technologies, and on screen signing.
- Experience in end to end live and post production environments, with focus on asset treatment, transformation and publishing.

Osterley
Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
