Team structure and relationships:

The Global Internal Communications Executive sits within the Global Internal Communications team and reports to the Global Senior Internal Communications Manager. Key day-to-day contacts include the Global Internal Communications Lead, Global External Communications colleagues, HR team, and internal communications colleagues around the world.

Global Internal Communications sits within our wider Global Business Generation function under the direction of our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

The Global Business Generation team are the custodians and drivers of best practice and expertise across all aspects of corporate communications, marketing and business development, including brand and profile, internal communications, digital and social media, winning bids and key client management.

With a new CMO (since Nov 2022), the team has recently refreshed its strategy and approach. There is real energy and enthusiasm to make an impact as experts in our fields. This will require us to ask difficult questions at times and be resilient in a fast-paced environment. The team is closely aligned to the company’s senior leadership and collaborate daily with colleagues across the globe. Role description:

Communicating to an audience of more than 10,000 employees across the globe, your key focus will be to create compelling content that inspires and engages our people around our Purpose, Vision and Values. Our teams are made up of experts with diverse skills and interests who need to be connected through powerful storytelling and insight.

Role requirements:

• Source, create and curate compelling content and stories that bring our Purpose, Values and Vision 2025 to life, demonstrating the wider impact Turner & Townsend has on society through our work with clients.
• Proactively develop and manage a content pipeline that supports our strategic business objectives and publish content across our suite of global internal channels which includes email newsletters, Yammer and global SharePoint feeds.
• Work with the intranet team to review and analyse content performance metrics, providing regular reports to the team and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Work with the Senior Internal Communications manager to design and manage company-wide campaigns.
• Work with third-party agencies as required to develop creative solutions that push boundaries and bring our storytelling and internal campaigns to life.
• Work closely with the Senior Internal Communications Manager and intranet team to recommend and introduce new IC channels, leveraging digital technology to improve reach and keep our approach relevant to all audiences across the business.
• Keep up to date with current trends in internal communications to inform best practice and give input into the global internal communications strategy and plan.
• Act as an ambassador for the team, supporting colleagues on internal communications best practices, and maintaining our resources and the profile of the team on our intranet.

Skills required:

• Experience in producing impactful, compelling communications for a diverse internal audience, ideally including remote-based colleagues.
• A journalistic understanding of good content and the ability to curate and distil stories on a variety of topics, simplifying complex subjects.
• Excellent copywriting skills, with demonstrable experience in creating clear and persuasive copy.
• Experience in campaign management, executing against campaign plans and delivering on time and on budget.
• Familiarity with trends in content creation and leveraging digital solutions to maximise reach. Any hands-on experience with creative software and/or video creation/editing would be welcomed.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite.
