At the Environment Agency we protect and improve the environment, acting to reduce the impacts of a changing climate on people and wildlife. We’re investing £5.2bn to reduce flood risk to hundreds of thousands of properties across the UK by 2027.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to support the management of our ambitious programmes.
This role is varied and draws upon a diverse range of transferrable skills, and you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Driving projects forward to delivery, identifying & advising on risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Helping to develop integration across disciplines, through developing and planning programmes of work.
- Ensuring projects report on multiple benefits, including properties, efficiencies, carbon reduction, programme performance and
environmental enhancements.
- Providing regular, accurate and timely updates on progress, preparing, and delivering reports and presentations for internal and external
customers.
- Developing and improving data quality performance across projects through current and new systems.
- Identifying and embedding new ways of working across Area teams, including training.
The Environment Agency takes part in incident response. Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
