Job Description

Description

About this role

Your team

BlackRock Platform Innovation (BPI) is a global group of change professionals responsible for driving strategic, enterprise-level transformation for BlackRock. We partner with business leaders to understand their commercial objectives, develop a scalable operating and platform strategy and lead end-to-end delivery. We are a versatile team made up of individuals with varied experiences and backgrounds motivated by the challenge of finding solutions which will benefit the firm and our clients.

Your role and impact

This is not a traditional project management or consultant role – we are looking for a world-class problem solver who can dive deep into the details, zoom out to provide context at a macro level for senior leaders, and lead the design and implementation of scalable solutions. You will apply your knowledge to some of the firm’s most strategic, complex and high-value projects.

You will adeptly navigate the firm, building strong and meaningful relationships across multiple businesses and guiding cross-functional groups towards a single objective. You will have the opportunity to drive scale, ensure consistency, and reduce risk.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead virtual teams and partner with business leads to drive strategic projects, including complex client and technology mandates and commercial opportunities, to completion
  • Partner with firm leaders to understand business drivers and market and regulatory requirements in order to translate strategic visions into action plans and execution mode with a high probability of success
  • Serve as a thought leader who champions client-first solutions to solve the firm’s most critical operating challenges
  • Proactively mitigate risks by appropriately challenging processes and procedures, continually enhancing the governance and control framework
  • Maintain a working environment that reflects BlackRock’s culture and principles and be a role model for the team and our stakeholders

Your experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience within financial services or consulting firm, supporting capital markets or asset management clients
  • Excellent problem solving and project management skills covering project inception through execution, implementation, and closeout
  • Key domain knowledge areas include asset management industry experience, business analysis, and product development lifecycle
  • Leadership, management and team building excellence – demonstrated ability to manage a high-performing team with the ability to attract, develop, and retain talent
  • Able to provide independent and sound judgment while forging strong, collaborative working relationships with business counterparts
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic, matrixed business environment, and continually reprioritize to focus on key issues/topics

Our benefits

To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of employee benefits including: retirement investment and tools designed to help you in building a sound financial future; access to education reimbursement; comprehensive resources to support your physical health and emotional well-being; family support programs; and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s current hybrid work model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while supporting increased flexibility for all employees. In line with local health guidance and regulations, employees are required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. The health, safety and well-being of our people will always be our top priorities; we will continue to monitor local conditions and health advisories in making decisions about our work environments.

About BlackRock

At BlackRock, we are all connected by one mission: to help more and more people experience financial well-being. Our clients, and the people they serve, are saving for retirement, paying for their children’s educations, buying homes and starting businesses. Their investments also help to strengthen the global economy: support businesses small and large; finance infrastructure projects that connect and power cities; and facilitate innovations that drive progress.

This mission would not be possible without our smartest investment – the one we make in our employees. It’s why we’re dedicated to creating an environment where our colleagues feel welcomed, valued and supported with networks, benefits and development opportunities to help them thrive.
