We provide full-service user-focused digital consultancy across research, analysis, design, content creation, engineering, and delivery


What you’ll be doing:

With training and support, you’ll work on client teams to:

  • design user centred services in collaboration with user researchers, interaction and service designers
  • create and validate user needs
  • design content across end-to-end journeys - from UX copy to emails, guidance to text messages - ensuring there’s a consistent message throughout
  • maintain, evaluate and improve content using content strategy, data, research and testing
  • lead areas such as product naming, service and project taxonomies and style
  • help your team communicate clearly and help shape the narrative for reports and presentations
  • take part in design critiques and contribute to the content design communities in Farsight and with our clients
  • advocate for content and user centred design in your team, with clients and in Farsight
  • work on internal design projects.

Requirements

We are looking for ambitious, curious and creative people.

To work as a content designer at Farsight, you’ll need to:

  • have experience working in content design or a content related job, such as a journalist, website editor, content editor, communications executive or technical writer
  • have excellent spelling, grammar and editorial skills
  • have an awareness of content design principles, accessibility and prototyping
  • be comfortable working in the open, collaborating with different people and enjoy iterative, fast paced project work
  • be committed to gaining the skills and experience to perform at a high level on a client-side agile digital team
  • be supportive, collaborative and happy to share your work early and take on other’s feedback
  • be professional at all times, and work to the deadlines set
  • be able to communicate in a clear way
  • enjoy problem solving and learning about new subject areas
  • ideally be familiar with agile principles and government service design
