Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Kier Construction in the Eastern and Midlands Region.

Location: Opportunities available in Cambridge, Peterborough, Norwich and surrounding areas

Contract: Permanent, full time.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor Working alongside the project delivery team, you will ensure the contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors. You will have exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery. As the successful applicant, you will manage the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement and be involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome. We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to assess contract risk and work with the delivery team to develop and manage mitigation plans.

Your day to day will include:

  • Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and subcontractors to ensure the project budget requirements are met

Who are we looking for?

  • Ideally you will have experience from a similar role within the construction industry
  • You’ll be proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • You will be degree qualified and able to demonstrate strong communication and organisational abilities
