Position Overview:


The Chief People Officer (CPO) will lead and oversee all aspects of Unilode's human resource’s function. This position will develop and implement strategies, policies, and programs that align with Unilode’s ambitious business objectives and support a positive work culture.


Specifically, the CPO will be responsible for strengthening and further improving recruiting and onboarding, talent management, performance management and recognition, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee well-being and retention as well as overall organizational development and support our Social Agenda from an ESG perspective.


The CPO will be instrumental in supporting the achievement of the full potential value creation plan of Unilode through a pragmatic, yet effective HR strategy and the end-to-end implementation of key HR initiatives which are fully aligned with the corporate strategy and the financial and operational performance targets of the business.


The CPO will report to the CEO and work closely with all other members of the Executive Leadership Team.


General Responsibilities:


  • Lead and develop a global, high-performing and business centric HR team
  • Engage with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to support the organization’s mission, vision, corporate strategy, values and financial and operational ambition from an HR perspective
  • Develop and implement an HR strategy, policies, with short and long-term HR initiatives that support the company's business objectives
  • Support the creation and promotion of a positive and engaging work culture
  • Implement and oversee the recruitment, selection and onboarding processes for new employees
  • Develop practices that foster an accountable, engaged, and high-performing workforce reflecting the mission, values, and culture of Unilode
  • Lead the development and implementation of performance management and talent management, including goal setting, feedback, and career development/succession planning for employees at all levels
  • Lead the development and implementation of employee engagement and retention programs, incl. training and development
  • Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and equitable including a total rewards plan that attracts, motivates, and retains staff
  • Ensure compliance with global payroll, employment laws and regulations across all jurisdictions of Unilode
  • Oversee employee relations and communication
  • Manage HR budget and resources
  • Report out HR KPIs and initiative progress to Executive Leadership team and Board
  • Work closely with the Chief ESG & QHS officer to align People and Social priorities (e.g.: DE&I, Health, and Wellbeing, etc.)
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10 years of experience in HR leadership roles across all relevant HR domains
  • Previous experience working in large and medium-sized companies, preferably with private equity ownership experience
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Experience leading recruitment and selection processes
  • Experience managing employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive work relationships
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with prior experience managing a geographically dispersed HR team
  • Ability to be a “hands on/roll up your sleeves” leader.
  • Ability to travel globally as required.
