Job Description

Work with the catering team of 3 schools, produce menus and recipes. Closely work with the operations manager and the school client ensuring innovation is at the forefront of delivering a consistent and compelling offer. The role plays a key part in delivering margin targets within the business and ensuring we stay competitive within the market. Ensure our recipe management system, Star Chef is utilized while creating menus
Your key responsibilities as Chef Manager will consist of:
Responsibilities
  • Follows compliance, ensure its strictly followed and adhered to all the company policy and procedures
  • Recruit and manage the team with in the 3 schools
  • Produces excellent meals within strict budget guidelines and enhances the current offer, while delivering all schools functions and trip meals in a timely manner
  • Visit all the 3 sites, ensure there are no gaps in the operations and its efficiently operated
  • Handle disciplinaries and HR procedures accurately
  • Use various company platforms to run the smooth operations of the units, this includes writing all-inclusive menus specific to site’s requirement and ensures that recipes are met with correct standards
  • Ensure the accounting and administration for the billing is correctly followed & thorough
  • Accurately report the stock weekly
  • Work closely with the suppliers to ensure the most suitable ingredients are used within all recipes within the central Star Chef database
  • Provide hands on approach in the 3 schools, monitors the catering team in kitchen operations, while reporting directly to the Operations Manager on a regular basis
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with the client and work professionally at all levels to meet the needs when expected within the business

Working Pattern
: Monday – Friday 40 hrs. (Term time only)
